Meet the Designer: Logan Real TDF2009 Shoe Launch
Friday, September 25, 2009, 6:30-8:30 PM; Shows are on display until October 9, 2009; St. Paul Campus
Join us for the world-unveiling of an exclusive new line of seven painted shoes by artist Logan Real representing the stage towns of the 2009 Tour de France. Logan Real Design was founded on the principal of fusing art and fashion in an expression of the wearer's inner voice. At the reception, meet Real who will talk about this project and his previous designs.
Real, a Miami-based designer, said: "...in partnering with GMD, it's a nice fit and a good stage to launch this exclusive concept. When initially approached by the towns, I immediately know this would not only be fun, but [an opportunity] to give back..."
See Real's hand-painted "Marilyn" shoes in GMD's exciting exhibition "Intersections: Where Art Meets Fashion," open through November 1st. The Logan Real TDF 2009 shoes will be on display September 21-October 9 and will be auctioned online to benefit GMD and Livestrong.
