100 Years of Student Drawing: Celebrating the School of Architecture's Centenial

April 4-June 29, 2014

For 100 years, students at the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota have been learning through drawing. Although modes of representation, media, tools, aesthetic preferences and prevailing styles have changed over the decades, the fundamental importance of drawing as a means of conveying the power and beauty of architectural concepts has not.

The goal of the exhibition, organized for the School’s centennial celebration, is to showcase—as broadly as possible—the range of architectural problems tackled by students over the last ten decades, the myriad design solutions proposed, and the diverse methods of representation used to communicate those ideas.
