Anna Louise Sviben, Student, U of MN

My purpose was to create a sustainable design by using an unwanted garment and textile and turning them into something more flattering and with a greater sense of design. My garment was created from a thrift store dress and a piece of fabric I inherited from a family friend. Piping was the only new material purchased to create my final garment. Because I used unwanted textiles and notions that I already had, my design process had very minimal impact on the environment.
