Male and Female Updated Scrub Look

Lauren Kacher, Student, U of MN

I have always loved the potential for creativity that using unconventional materials brings, as well as the sustainable aspect of reducing garment waste. I believe in creating garments and accessories that are unique to the wearer, making them much more meaningful as a result. It is important to slow down and realize the meaning of a piece and why you love it.

I explored all avenues of possible materials such as plastic for cutouts, bungee cord for a collar piece (RTW), and old medical scrubs. These garments reflect the main idea of turning something unrelated to fashion into a unique and beautiful work of art.
