Tours and Programs

We welcome tours of our current exhibitions. Tours generally last one hour and should be scheduled in advance. To view details for our current exhibition click here.

We are happy to share previously developed programs with groups, and welcome requests for new programs. If you are not quite sure what you would like to see, we can work with you to find a topic that is suitable for your group. Past topics have included: “From Pucci to Halston - Braniff Airline Uniforms from the 1960s-1980s”, “Antique Purses Prior to 1930”, “Russel Wright’s Lasting Impact”, and “Surface Design Techniques on Fabric.” Click here to view images of the GMD collections for inspiration!

Six to eight weeks notice is preferred for developing new programs. The program can be scheduled at McNeal Hall, which provides an opportunity to view actual collection objects. Offsite presentations feature collection objects through a PowerPoint slideshow.

To arrange an exhibition tour or a program, please contact Jean McElvain at 612-624-2737.
